The film tour for mountain lovers

Featuring exciting films about climbing, mountaineering, freeriding, and much more.

The best mountain experience—but indoors!

Hiking, climbing, mountaineering—sure, nothing beats doing it yourself. But when it comes to a really good mountain story, we all want to listen.

Or even better: Watch it!

Especially when there are people in the audience who love the mountains just as much as you do. That’s exactly what you’ll experience on the Banff Tour. At over 50 events across Germany, we’ll be screening the best films from the renowned Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival, which takes place every year in early November in Canada.

About the Banff Tour

The Banff Tour brings the best adventure films from the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival to the big screen. The festival takes place every November in the small town of Banff in the Canadian Rockies – and has been running for over 45 years, growing into a beloved gathering for fans and filmmakers alike.

To make sure outdoor film fans around the world don't miss out, a selection of the best films hits the road after the festival and goes on a major world tour – including a stop near you.

The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour screens in over 40 countries. Programs are curated by local event organizers, so there is no single unified BANFF Tour program.
